It is amazing how we plan so much
And attain so little when the day is gone
It is amazing how things we put so much trust in
Let us down so much
It is not for the improper set up for them
But for our overwhelming anticipation
And mountainous expectations
It is amazing how the little things we do
Impact greatly on the lives of those we touch
A kindly smile, a gentle touch, a kind word
All these daily dos that provide great healing to the soul
Forming the core healing for the wounded
A divine antidote to their deep scars

When the sun rises
It brings good tidings and refreshing moments
No matter how down and dilated the day seems
There’ll always be a reason for one to smile
A reason for the flowers to bloom
For the trees to sway
And for the birds to happily sing
Announcing the merry of the new birth
A new day, so innocent and serene
Like a new born baby
And to rejoice and give thanks to this new found treasure
The bubbles of happiness sear within the depths of our hearts
Giving us a new start every moment
A reason to laugh, to cry
To just watch the sun slowly make its way to the Far East.

It was just a big mistake
Everything around me tried to shout out the warning
The caution alarms went off
Proclaiming the depths of the gaps that existed
Gaps that could never be filled or replaced
Telling me to caution my heart
Not to dare
Because the price at steak was high.

She stood up in the central subway car
Pacing to and forth, humming a song and mumbling some words
A prayer, a song or a spiritual talk?
Then she started proclaiming the word of God
Telling the truth so that they may believe and be saved
“He is the way the truth and life.”
“He loves you.”
She pleaded with the passengers
Some walked out to the next car
Others complained to the conductor asking him to take action
However, his threats to throw her out
Were received by a higher voice in proclaiming the word
And the Love of Jesus
Never letting anything deter her from standing for the most High
From standing up for Jesus.

As the phone entered the third ring
The little hope left flew away
Once again, she was not there
No messages returned, no call back, just silence
For three days in a row
Is it seeking peace in self silence?
Or dwelling in greener pastures
Is it so demanding to even just whisper a simple hallo?
There seemed to be no excuse, just hypothesis.
On the verge of giving up, she found her heart of hearts
She poured through books and novels
Passing through the words in a Novel
Her value for friendship was once questioned
Even though the care was not forthcoming
And she was taken for granted, a backup or a second wheel
She had to make a decision, to redefine the word friendship
Willing herself overboard
Above disappointment
Beyond the negligence
Over the empty space within her
She promised to stand by him
Because the bonds of true friendship were strong to ever be savored
They were meant to hold for ages
As they were meant to hold each other through the storms.
